Metropolitan State Hospital - March 2008
Images of the only remaining original building at the Metropolitan State Hospital site:
The Dr. William F. McLaughlin Building
Reliable sources claim the City of Waltham required the old structure to be refurbished as part of the deal with historic real estate destroyers known as Avalon Bay.
Great news is, City of Waltham has placed a moratorium on any future condo construction & has purchased all remaining open land for sale in the city to prevent
any further demolishing of historic sites and open land. 3 cheers to the Mayor of Waltham.
